In the UK it is possible, via a Lasting Power of Attorney, to grant somebody else the power to either manage your business and financial affairs and/or to make personal decisions about your welfare and health at a time when you may lack the capacity to do so on your own behalf.
Lasting Power of Attorney replaced Enduring Powers of Attorney on 1st October 2007.
