Miriam qualified as a solicitor in 1997. She originally studied Law (LLB) at The London School of Economics and then undertook a Postgraduate Diploma of Legal Studies at the College of Law, in which she received a Commendation.
Miriam worked as a paralegal at Cameron Mckenna and a trainee solicitor at Roiter Zucker before working as in-house legal counsel at Freemans PLC, Debenhams Direct Limited and the Joseph fashion chain. She has also worked as a legal counsel locum at Corporate Services Group (Blue Arrow and Medacs) and Capital Partners. She is currently still working, on a part-time basis as Legal Counsel for Rexam PLC.
Miriam started working with The Law Department as a consultant in 2011. She specialises in company commercial, commercial contractual issues and general commercial law. She can also undertake some areas of Competition law and Intellectual Property Law.
Outside of her work, Miriam likes to go to the cinema and theatre, spend time with her family, play netball, cook and eat with friends.
